You'll pay a premium, but you won't have to worry. 15th through 18th is midway through development and it'll be beautiful in 3-5 years. The other 5% are diametrically opposed to each other and are both equally idiots/not representative of the area. The BSL isn't too far from most places in the neighborhood.Ĭommunity:95% of people are friendly and will talk with you. There are more and more businesses popping up and the area is well served by bus routes. I've never had an issue and the corner dudes give me the nod when I walk my dog. Most, if not all, crime is drug related and targeted. Safety/Crime: decent amount of drugs still being run through area. Most of this is because it was the first area to be developed/gentrified, and they wanted to not get wrapped up in the larger issues in PB politics. The area from Broad-18th has somewhat been rebranded as "Newbold" and has it's own Neighborhood Association.
